The spirited Elizabeth Bennet navigates the rigid social hierarchy of Regency-era England, clashing and ultimately falling in love with the proud Mr. Darcy. Austen's sparkling wit and sharp social commentary have made this one of the most beloved novels in the English language.

Jim's Review
🐛
Jim has to admit — he judged this book by its reputation as a "romance novel" and boy was he wrong. Austen's sass could cut diamonds. The verbal sparring between Elizabeth and Darcy is chef's kiss, and the social commentary still worms its way into modern relevance. If you think this is just a love story, you haven't been paying attention. This bookworm bows before the queen.
