Jim's Review

🐛
Kingsolver took Dickens and dropped him into Appalachian opioid country, and the result is devastating, brilliant, and necessary. Demon's voice is so alive and sharp that Jim forgot he was reading fiction. Jim burrowed through all 548 pages with a lump in his throat and fire in his little worm belly. This book doesn't just tell you about poverty and addiction — it makes you FEEL it. Pulitzer well earned. Read this one, friends.
